Was here for the pub quiz on Sunday night. Had a great time, drinks were excellent and service speedy. My partner had a fall and Jess the manager was quick to offer a complimentary coke and sat with us to make sure everything was ok. Can’t recommend this place enough, such a welcoming and friendly environment.

Manager here is very odd. Possibly the rudest experience I’ve ever had in a pub. I’ve a few tattoos, think that might’ve been why, that’s blackrock for you. The place across the road the exact same. I see a lot of other reviews here with the same thing, manager telling people to leave because “other people are waiting for a seat” even though we’re literally paying for pints. Really really odd place. Don’t recommend. Energy here is absolutely horrible, surprised to see any decent reviews at all.

Very nice pub. Old wood style with a fire out back. Large comfy couches in the front.
A very friendly old git as a barman.
A good trad session most Wednesdays 9:15 to 11.

A really lovely Irish pub with an authetic feel. The atmosphere is cosy and the service is welcoming and friendly, and there's a delightful open fireplace for the colder months.
The trad session is high quality and a must-see, the musicians are very very talented. A gem in Blackrock for sure.

I was whisked here on a cold January Monday night with a whisper in my ear that this is THE best place to eat Indian food in Dublin. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly and went upstairs to the dimly lit upstairs restaurant area. My host was surprised it was half-empty. "It's always full but I never ate here on a Monday before". Worth remembering if you can't get in easily. The owner trained at one of those big 5* hotels before setting up on his own and the attention to detail in the menu and the service levels shows through. There is also a great wine list. My favourite? The prawn starters - crispy, succulent and not over-oily - followed by the lamb dhansak. Enjoy!
